Nadeshot Slams Gambling Sponsor Haters: ‘Just Don’t Watch It’

Nadeshot, former CEO of 100 Thieves and one of the members of the organization’s board, has addressed online backlash surrounding his string of sponsored gambling streams during a recent broadcast. The former Call of Duty pro player offered his two cents in the wake of a fresh wave of hate towards his methods of securing bags online, which sit well with very few people.

In recent months, Nadeshot has become increasingly close with Roobet and has been hosting sponsored gambling streams. Days ago, he posted an AI-generated video promoting this content, just one day after 100 Thieves publicly apologized for using AI in a new line of merchandise.

Nadeshot Says You’d Do It Too

In a clip that’s doing the rounds on social media, Matthew ‘Nadeshot’ Haag addressed the recent discourse around his gambling content, which peaked in the last few days when he posted AI content promoting his Roobet-backed streams.

He’s of the opinion that, if you had the chance, you’d all do it too, as it’s a man’s role in life to make as much money as possible for his family.

He said:

Some people like gambling, some people don’t. I think, in the gaming community, people go out of their way to make you feel poorly if you’re an individual who is making money from advertising gambling.

It’s the way the world works.

I’ll be honest, I think most people in my situation would have done it.

He expanded when asked if he’d made enough money and didn’t need to involve himself in gambling content:

What, brother?

We live in a society where your entire job, especially when having a family, is to make as much money as possible, and I’ve found a way to make a lot of money, and I shouldn’t do it because it’s something that you don’t think somebody should be doing?

Let’s not act like I’m sitting here badgering small animals with clubs, going out of my way to just take lives.

He then offered some advice:

If you don’t like gambling, fine.

Just because somebody else is doing it, you’re going to go out of your way to get on a burner account and say terrible things to people?

The lengths that I’ve seen people going to to make sure that I see their comments…

Bro, just don’t watch it.

In the comments under the post, Asmongold, another relatively controversial creator, bagged hard on Nadeshot for his stance on gambling: ‘Taking a gambling deal is like performing a human sacrifice on one of your viewers randomly. This is because people with gambling addictions kill themselves all the time.’

Do you think Nadeshot is wrong for continuously engaging in gambling content on stream? Let us know your thoughts on the Insider Gaming Discord server.
