EA has officially announced that Battlefield 6 will have a free-to-play Battle Royale mode in addition to the main premium game.
The official announcement confirms Insider Gaming’s report from 18 months ago that Battlefield 6 will have a free-to-play Battle Royale mode.
Although details on the gamemode were slim, we know that the mode will contain both a ‘standard’ Battle Royale experience and a more competitive gamemode named ‘Gauntlet’.
The gamemode will be going to Battlefield Labs in the coming weeks.
In addition to today’s announcements, EA and Battlefield Studios revealed the dates for the Battlefield 6 Beta, spanning over two weekends.
