LCS organisation LYON has announced that Jonathan ‘Armao’ Armao has departed the organisation’s League of Legends roster.
The American jungler temporarily joined the organisation to replace star player Kacper ‘Inspired’ Słoma.
Inspired revealed he had to return to Poland to deal with personal matters, with no official timeline for his return.
While not confirmed, it is expected that Inspired will now return to the LYON line-up for the upcoming LCS Homeground event in Mexico City.
Supersub Armao Strikes Again
Armao has made a career out of being a substitute jungler and filling in for teams mid-season.
He made his LCS debut as a substitute for Echo Fox back in 2016. On TSM, he played on the Academy but was eventually promoted to be a starter.
And then in 2021, he had to fill in for Team Liquid as an emergency substitute for the semi-finals and then the final of the LCS Mid-Season Showdown.
Now, having not played in the LCS since 2024, LYON trusted his experience with subbing in to fill in for Inspired.

Having won the last two splits, LYON have been dominating the LCS, and that didn’t stop during Armao’s stint.
Armao played four series in total and swept the first three, defeating FlyQuest, Shopify Rebellion, and Dignitas 2-0.
However, he couldn’t keep his undefeated record alive as LYON were surprisingly defeated 2-1 by Sentinels in his last series.
With the LCS now on a week-long break before the Homeground event running August 29-30, it makes sense that LYON would use that time to settle Inspired back in.
