Embark Studios is preparing for the release of ARC Raiders, a highly anticipated extraction shooter that underwent extremely successful testing windows earlier this year. Despite the success and the demand from fans worldwide, Embark has stressed that ARC Raiders will not have any more tests before launching on October 30.
It was also mentioned in a post on social media that the title won’t appear at Gamescom in any capacity, subverting the expectations of the growing fanbase.
‘Polishing and Expanding’
There are very high hopes for ARC Raiders, which tested well earlier this year and earned extensive and positive feedback from gamers everywhere. Unfortunately, that’s all there will be until October 30, when the game releases in full:
The team here in Stockholm is in full gear, getting ready for release on October 30! Our focus is now on polishing and expanding the experience, and putting all the learnings from TT2 into action ahead of release. Just so you know, we’re not planning additional public tests before launch.
We’ve learned from our last announcement that it’s crucial to keep expectations in check, so we also want to be clear that we won’t be at Gamescom.
But don’t worry, our launch campaign will kick off before you know it! We’ll have many more updates for you in the lead-up to launch.
Thank you for all the support and encouragement you’ve been sending our way! It means the world.
Fans were quick to point out the success of the first tests and the ongoing popularity of the Battlefield 6 beta, highlighting how running such a test can drum up immense support for a developing game.
It was only at the start of June that the release date for ARC Raiders was unveiled. There’s still quite a while to go, and between then and now, a few key contenders are set to drop, such as Battlefield 6, which is poised to fully disrupt the shooter market this year.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 also recently received new teasers highlighting some core themes of the game. That will be revealed in full next week during Gamescom’s Opening Night Live ceremony.
