A new deal between Embark Studios and Chernin Entertainment confirms that ARC Raiders and The Finals are being adapted for film and TV.
In today’s world, it has become quite common for games to be adapted into films and TV shows. This trend not only lets franchises reach beyond their original medium, but also brings more fans back to the games. Given the popularity ARC Raiders experienced at launch, adapting it into a film or TV series seems like a fantastic idea.
ARC Raiders and The Finals Adaptations Will Help Them Grow Into ‘Deeply Integrated Transmedia Experiences’
In a statement to Variety, Partick Söderlund, the founder and CEO of Embark Studios, expressed that the partnership with Chernin Entertainment is “the next big step in growing ‘ARC Raiders’ and ‘The Finals’ into deeply integrated transmedia experiences that reward the passion of our global player community.” He also emphasized that Embark Studios’ creative teams will work closely with Chernin to ensure that the “creativity that defines” both ARC Raiders and The Finals is a part of the adaptations.
The report does not include specific details regarding the plot, release date, or which franchise will be turned into a film or a series. Currently, we only know that both The Finals and ARC Raiders will be receiving some form of adaptations.

ARC Raiders was released in 2025, and the extraction adventure quickly soared in popularity, managing to sell over 16 million copies and also winning best multiplayer game of the year across multiple award shows. The game’s popularity has died down a bit since then, but the adaptation might be the thing that gets the numbers up. The Finals, on the other hand, is a free-to-play first-person shooter that has managed to get over 30 million registrations in the past 3 years.
