ARC Raiders is giving new players the perfect opportunity to try out the extraction shooter, with the game going free-to-play for an entire weekend from October 8 to October 12.
The free weekend also lines up with the launch of Frozen Trail, the biggest update ARC Raiders has received yet. A brand-new map, ARC enemies, weapons, gadgets and more are all on the way, as Embark Studios continues to favor a slower but more substantial approach to updates.
ARC Raiders Free-To-Play Details
Embark Studios revealed the free weekend in a new blog post, confirming that ARC Raiders will be available to play for free across Steam, Xbox and PlayStation for a limited time.
The free period runs from October 8 at 2 AM PT until October 12 at 1 AM PT, with players able to download and play the full game without spending a penny. Better yet, there’s plenty to get stuck into, as Frozen Trail launches on the very same day.
Frozen Trail was recently revealed as the game’s biggest update since launch, bringing a huge new map alongside three new ARC enemies, weapons, gadgets, progression changes and new endgame content. And, if you’re teamed up with established friends, you can explore the new Pendola Pass map straight away.
If the free weekend convinces you to pick up ARC Raiders permanently, there’s no need to worry about losing your progress. Everything you earn during the free period will carry over if you purchase the game, meaning you can pick up right where you left off without having to rebuild your Stash from scratch.
