Sandbox Interactive has revealed that Albion Online, the free-to-play MMORPG, is coming to Xbox Series platforms on April 21. The game has been available on PC and mobile since 2017, but it’s only now that it’s hitting the console space. What’s more exciting is that it’s launching with full crossplay, allowing account recovery on Xbox.
The incoming Radiant Wilds update will add a full visual upgrade to the game, and that drops a little over a week before the open-world title comes to Xbox, allowing the console version to reap the benefits.
Albion Online Landing on Xbox Soon
On April 21, Albion Online will graduate from PC and mobile platforms and arrive on Xbox for the first time in almost a decade. In a press release, the team at Sandbox Interactive revealed that Albion Online has been fully optimized for the console platform, getting a brand-new UI navigation flow and a dedicated controller scheme.
Combat has been ‘overhauled’ to better accommodate traditional controllers, and fresh accessibility features have been implemented.
We recently talked about the huge Radiant Wilds update coming to Albion Online in April. This upgrade brings a new visual palette, an armory, a new 1v1 arena, and several critical performance improvements.
Here’s the new trailer for Albion Online on Xbox:
The team at Sandbox Interactive explained:
Players that have already spent time in Albion on PC or mobile, will be able to use the same account for Xbox Series S|X without losing any progress, allowing seamless cross-play no matter which platform they choose.

Kinda random this is only coming to Xbox and not the Switch and PS5 too. Good for Xbox though.
