The next Sony State of Play is scheduled for June 2, and it’s being hyped up as one of the biggest yet. Not only are Sony hiring out cinemas for people to watch the show live, but the announcement for the showcase was made two weeks in advance, with a timer ticking down to the event.
It’s got fans speculating that this could be a heavy-hitting show, and for good reason, it seems! Still, it begs the question: what games are going to feature during the June 2026 Sony State of Play?
To help you prepare for the big event, we’ve collected a list of every confirmed and rumored game for the State of Play—check them all out below.
Every Confirmed Game For June 2026 State Of Play

So far, only one game has been confirmed for the upcoming State of Play, and that’s Insomniac’s Wolverine.
It was revealed alongside the announcement for the showcase that Wolverine would open the show with an in-depth look at combat and gameplay. Expect to see extended sequences and visceral, gory combat, though it shouldn’t stop there.

Insomniac have been clear that pre-orders wouldn’t open until fans saw more of the game. Well, with the State of Play undoubtedly doing so, it’s reasonable to assume that pre-orders should open once the reveal is over—who knows, we might even get information on a deluxe edition.
Every Rumored Game For June 2026 State Of Play
There are plenty of games that are rumored for the State of Play. With a runtime of over 60 minutes, there should be plenty of reveals and surprises in store, but here’s what we think has a strong chance of appearing based on rumors and speculation.
God Of War Faye Game/Original Trilogy Remake

It’s long been rumored that a Cory Barlog-produced God of War spinoff was in development at Santa Monica, and it would feature Kratos’ wife Faye as the lead. According to numerous insiders, gameplay will differ from the Norse games, with more of a focus on action, akin to Devil May Cry. Could this be the closing announcement to end the showcase with a bang?
As if that wasn’t enough, the Original Trilogy Remake was announced during February’s State of Play, and there’s every chance we’ll see more of that project. There’s God of War galore, and it’s fair to assume at least one of these projects appears.
Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet

Naughty Dog has long been a pillar of PlayStation, and aside from the countless Last of Us remakes, fans are desperate to see more of its new IP, Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet.
Other than its announcement trailer from the 2024 Game Awards, little else has been said regarding the title. With an enthusiastic cast raving about the game, it’s high time we heard more about what Naughty Dog have been so hard at work on, even if it’s still a ways away.
Final Fantasy 7 Part 3

The Final Fantasy 7 remakes have been an incredible showcase for how remakes can drastically alter familiar stories and build upon them in new and exciting ways. With the final entry into the trilogy rounding out the 1997 JRPG classic, there’s a high chance we see an official reveal during the State of Play—even though Part 3 won’t be PlayStation exclusive.
Kena: Scars Of Kosmora

Another game that was announced during the February 2026 State of Play, Kena: Scars of Kosmora is the sequal to Kena: Bridge of Spirits. The developers mentioned that their partnership with PlayStation has allowed them to expand the Kena world while staying true to the original.

It’s looking like a real step-up, and with a release window of this year, it’d be a surprise if it didn’t show up during the upcoming showcase.
New Gran Turismo

It’s been a while since we last had a Gran Turismo title, with Gran Turismo 7 releasing in 2022. Well, it’s been confirmed that a new entry into the franchise is in development, and if it were to be shown anywhere, it’s likely to be during a State of Play. The question is simply whether it’s ready to be revealed, but time will surely tell.
Phantom Blade Zero

With a September 2026 release date, Phantom Blade Zero seems like a given to appear at the State of Play. The action-RPG has a lot of hype surrounding it, and with Wolverine also releasing in September, it’s looking like a packed month for Sony.
New Media Molecule Title

It’s been a long time since we’ve heard from Media Molecule, with its last release being Dreams back in 2020, but it didn’t exactly set the world alight, with it being more of a game-creation tool.
Well, based on job descriptions, Media Molecule’s new title will feature open-world content, with a new IP supposedly attached. I, for one, am always hoping for the return of LittleBigPlanet, but anything from the Media Molecule team would make me a happy chap.
Fairgame$ Gets A Rebrand

Insider Gaming has long reported on Fairgame$, with internal playtests supposedly not quite hitting the mark. Well, a few weeks before the State of Play, Sony trademarked a new game called Break In, and it’s rumored to be a rebranding for Fairgame$. Whether this will help improve the game’s chances remains to be seen, but we could soon find out during this State of Play.
Other Potential Appearances
There’s plenty more out there that could appear during the State of Play, and there’s bound to be a few surprises in store that managed to avoid the leak plague. That said, here are a few more games that could also receive a new announcement:
- Resident Evil 9 DLC
- Resident Evil Code Veronica Remake
- Rayman Legends Retold
- Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls New Characters
- Silent Hill Townfall
- Onimusha Way of the Sword
- Forza Horizon 6 PS5 Release Date
- 4Loop
