Wuthering Waves is coming to Xbox Game Pass this July. The official announcement came during the March 2026 Xbox Partner Preview event. While the month the game is coming out is known, an exact release date has not been announced.
The free-to-play RPG launched on PC and mobile in 2024. Now, it’s coming to consoles through Xbox and is available for free on Xbox Game Pass. It’s a Gacha-style game that operates similarly to Genshin Impact but boasts a broader focus on combat.
It also touts itself as a story-rich title, but soon after its beta release, a bulk of the story was rewritten. Players can learn more about that change here.
Wuthering Waves Was An Early Success
In its first year, the game had secured over 30 million downloads. The game has a very active community. Now, the community expands with the Xbox platform. For those who don’t want to wait, it’s available to play now on the Epic Games Store. It’s one of 662 million games given away for free on the Epic Game Store in 2025.
