In a segment during The Game Awards, Wizards of the Coast revealed an all-new trailer for Warlock: Dungeons & Dragons. The energetic, beast-laden trailer revealed swarms of creatures, magical combat sequences, and classic D&D iconography and entities. It was promised that a gameplay reveal is lined up for Summer 2026.
At the end of the trailer, it was confirmed that the game is targeting a 2027 launch.
Warlock is An All-New Dungeons & Dragons Project
In the exclusive trailer released by Wizards of the Coast at The Game Awards, we get our first major glimpse at Warlock: Dungeons & Dragons, a punchy new title in the D&D universe:
Warlock is a brand-new open-world adventure game based around the D&D class of the same name. The main character, Kaatri, boasts control over a power entity that grants them supernatural abilities, which is a familiar enough concept to those already aligned with D&D.
It has been said this isn’t a replication of the classic table-top experience, but instead, it’s a single-player title that’s not trying to copy what Baldur’s Gate did so well recently.
It’s all about combat, exploration, and puzzle-solving mechanics that unravel mostly in real time.
