Fortnite Crew Membership is being added to the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription starting in November, Microsoft has announced, amid major changes to the Game Pass options.
Microsoft’s subscription services have overseen several changes over the years, and a fresh pricing structure has been announced that once again pushes up the monthly cost by a whopping 50%.
Additional incentives have been announced, however, including the big addition of Fortnite Crew for those subscribed to Game Pass Ultimate.
Fortnite Crew Added as Game Pass Bonus
Confirmed by Xbox in a news post, the monthly cost of a Game Pass Ultimate membership is increasing by $9.99 a month, but the inclusion of Fortnite Crew ($11.99 monthly) will provide a slight reduction for those subscribed to both memberships.
Fortnite Crew includes every Battle Pass added to the game, including the OG Pass, LEGO Pass, and Festival Pass, alongside 1,000 V-Bucks to spend in the store every month. Rewards aren’t restricted to just Fortnite either, as it also includes the Rocket League Season Pass.
The inclusion of Fortnite Crew in the Game Pass Ultimate subscription begins in November, just in time for the start of a mini-season that will bring Chapter 6 to a close—and it’s widely expected that the mini-season will be themed around The Simpsons.
In December, Fortnite will then transition into Chapter 7, the start of a new cycle for the game, and all the big collabs featured in Fortnite Battle Passes moving forward will be available with a Game Pass Ultimate subscription.
For those who religiously play Fortnite and aim to complete the Battle Pass every season, Fortnite Crew’s inclusion in Game Pass Ultimate will certainly sweeten the blow of the latest price hike for the service.
