Some users in France have reported that Amazon has delivered their ROG Xbox Ally X devices two weeks early.
The highly anticipated ROG Xbox Ally X handheld is set to release on October 16, 2025, with players worldwide eagerly awaiting their chance to get their hands on the device. However, reports have surfaced online suggesting that users in France have received their Xbox handhelds two weeks early, and they are already sharing their reviews.
ROG Xbox Ally X User Reviews Have Already Surfaced Online

Spotted by TheGamer, a new post on the r/ROGAllyX page showcases the ROG Xbox Ally X device that was delivered early by Amazon France. The original poster has also shared their first impression, describing the device as “very light” and comfortable. The poster has used a Steam Deck before this and stated that the Xbox Ally X feels like you are “holding a Xbox controller”, which comes with a screen attached to it.
The user has praised the ROG Xbox Ally X’s battery life, stating that players “can comfortably push past three hours in heavy titles” when running at 17W. The French user also provided some details about the performance, explaining players receive “900p or 1080p at medium/high settings, with a baseline of 35–40 fps at 25W.” When adding “FSR in quality mode, frame generation or lossless scaling, and you’re hitting 70–80 fps without breaking a sweat.”
There was another user who had received the ROG Xbox Ally X early; however, they deleted the post and refused to provide any further details.
