New details about the Assassin’s Creed Black Flag remake have supposedly been revealed, including several gameplay changes.
While not announced yet, a remake of Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag has been leaked quite a bit over the past few years. From voice actors to collectibles, it’s pretty clear one is in the works. However, without official confirmation from Ubisoft, it’s up in the air. Still, a credible series leaker has claimed to have new information on it.
Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Remake To Change Several Aspects, Claims Leaker
In a video from Jeux Vidéo Magazine, which has gotten some Assassin’s Creed news right in the past, posted about the remake. The leaker revealed several details regarding the title, like its gameplay and story. For example, the story will cut the modern-day parts and add more to protagonist Edward Kenway’s pirating. Most interestingly, it mentions that the gameplay will be more RPG-based, similar to Origins and Shadows. Furthermore, the release is slated for early 2026, but it can change.
It’s important to note that none of this is confirmed, so take it with a grain of salt. Still, with the Black Flag remake pretty much happening, it’s only a matter of time before Ubisoft confirms it. Whether or not it will replace its cinematic combat with RPG action is unknown. Assassin’s Creed Shadows, the latest release, did the system justice, though it’s not a fan-favorite for longtime fans. Still, given Black Flag is fondly remembered as a great title, a remake is well deserved.
