Nintendo Reconfirms 2025 Release Window for Metroid Prime 4: Beyond

Nintendo has reiterated that Metroid Prime 4: Beyond is still slated to release later in 2025.

Metroid Prime 4: Beyond was officially revealed during a Nintendo Direct event in June 2024, with the developers providing a 2025 release window. We received new gameplay during the March 2025 Direct event, but Nintendo has yet to give the players an actual release date. However, the latest development reconfirms that Metroid Prime 4 hasn’t been pushed to 2026 yet.

Metroid Prime 4: Beyond Will be Playable at Fan Expo Canada This Month

A new blog post by Nintendo of Canada discusses demos of the company’s upcoming and latest Switch 2 games available during Fan Expo Canada 2025. While inviting players to this event in Toronto, Ontario, Nintendo also reconfirmed Metroid Prime 4’s 2025 release window. The post states that fans will be “able to play upcoming games like Metroid Prime 4: Beyond,” and it mentions “available later in 2025” in brackets.

Regarding the other upcoming games available at Fan Expo Canada, players will be able to try out Hades 2, Borderlands 4 and Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition. In terms of existing games, Mario Kart World, Donkey Kong Bananza and Street Fighter 6 Years 1-2 Fighters Edition will be on display. Fan Expo Canada will be hosted from August 21 to August 24.

In other news, Metroid Prime 4: Beyond has been rated for the Switch 2 by the South Korean Classification Board. Also, a recent advertising blunder stated that the game had already launched.
