Marathon Devs Announce Recon Changes Ahead of Next Patch

The developers of Marathon have a major update scheduled for April 14. However, they have some notable changes they want to share with players early so players get a sense of what’s coming.

The changes shared are related specifically to the Recon Shell. Ahead of the full release of passion notes for version 1.0.6, the Bungie developers have shared changes coming to Echo Pulse and Tracker Drone.

Marathon Recon Updates Coming on April 14

In a Twitter post, the Marathon Dev Team shared that the echo pulse ability will have its visibility to enemies reduced. This should make it harder for enemies to gauge whether they’re within range of an attack. Also, if you’re a Runner who has used a Signal Jammer before the Echo Pulse, you’ll appear as UESC.

For the Tracker Drone, they promised that this ability will get more aggressive. In the next patch, they are increasing the drones’ tracking strength and allowing them to find a new target if they can’t reach the initial one.

The developers have confirmed that they plan on supporting the game for many years. Players can read their comments here. For more on Marathon, check out our full review of the game at this link.
