Oblivion Remastered Hits 9 Million Player Milestone

Bethesda Game Studios has shared that The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered has hit nine million players since being released on April 22. I’m questioning why they didn’t wait until the ten million mark was hit, but perhaps the growth has slowed; who knows?

Oblivion Remastered turned heads when it was released relatively suddenly back in April, wowing fans of The Elder Scrolls with a game that felt more like a full rebuild than a remaster.

Are you one of the nine million?

Timeless

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered drew in stacks of players when it was released in April, with the user base being represented by old veterans of the franchise and players discovering the 2006 RPG for the first time.

It’s not perfect and has a few bugs here and there, but it’s a faithful representation of what came before, and it filled gamers everywhere with a sense of hope for further remasters coming out of Bethesda Game Studios.

I’m referring mostly to the rumoured remaster of Fallout 3, which I’m praying will be revealed soon.

Bethesda Game Studios recently shared on social media that Oblivion Remastered was such a hit that it secured nine million players in just three months:

In April, Oblivion Remastered was the best-selling game in the United States, despite hitting the market just a week before the month was up. It was plagued a little by concerning performance problems on console through May, but these were addressed promptly by patches put out by Bethesda Game Studios.

Are you one of the nine million players who jumped into The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered in the last three months? Let me know how you enjoyed the game on the Insider Gaming forum.
