FromSoftware has announced that Elden Ring: Nightreign will be playable in duos later this month.
Announced officially on the Elden Ring X account, it was announced, “On July 30, 2025, take on Night’s terrors as two kindred souls. Duo Expeditions will be added in patch 1.02 of #ELDENRING #NIGHTREIGN.”

Earlier this month, it was announced that Elden Ring Nightreign, which at launch was only playable solo or in trios, sold over 2 million units within the first 24 hours, but surpassed 5 million units globally in less than 2 months from release.
According to the blog post, Elden Ring has surpassed 30 million unit sales, and now the two recent releases set in the same universe have surpassed new global unit milestones. Shadow of the Erdtree, the DLC expansion for the original game, has crossed a whopping 10 million units globally.
It was previously announced in June 2025 that Elden Ring Nightreign would get a duos gamemode ‘at a later date’.
Elden Ring Nightreign is aavialable for the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series S|X, Xbox One, and PC.
