Elden Ring Nightreign and the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC have surpassed 5 million and 10 million units sold, respectively.
Elden Ring’s critically acclaimed DLC, Shadow of the Erdtree, brought players to a brand-new storyline set in the ‘Land of Shadow’, where they explored a new map, diverse biomes, new enemies, and weapons. Nightreign, on the other hand, is a new standalone co-op, survival adventure set in the Elden Ring universe, which was released on May 30, 2025. Both the DLC and the latest game have now hit significant sales milestones
Elden Ring Nightreign and Shadow of the Erdtree Sell Millions Worldwide
According to the new blog post, Elden Ring has surpassed 30 million unit sales, and now the two recent releases set in the same universe have surpassed new global unit milestones. Shadow of the Erdtree, the DLC expansion for the original game, has crossed a whopping 10 million units globally.
Elden Ring Nightreign, a standalone multiplayer co-op action survival game, surpassed 5 million units globally in less than 2 months from release. It previously sold over 2 million units within the first 24 hours. FromSoftware has another Elden Ring game on the horizon, the Tarnished Edition, which will bring the base game and the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC to the Nintendo Switch 2. Moreover, a partnership with A24 will also bring players a live-action film adaptation of Elden Ring, directed by Alex Garland.
