Assassin’s Creed Shadows Has Surpassed 5 Million Players

Ubisoft has just announced that Assassin’s Creed Shadows has just hit a new milestone, 5 million players.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows is the latest instalment in Ubisoft’s popular series, taking players to feudal Japan for the first time. The title was subject to a lot of controversy ahead of its release, but it has now managed to overcome the worst. The title was able to cross 3 million players in its worst week; however, it has taken 4 months to reach 5 million.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows Now Has 5 Million Assassins

As announced on the official Assassin’s Creed X account (formerly Twitter), AC Shadows has surpassed 5 million players. Readers should note that this number does not reflect the number of units sold. The post also provides us with some additional statistics, including 2 billion stealth kills, 1 billion kilometres, and 38 million animals petted by the community. Moreover, Ubisoft has teased that Assassin’s Creed Shadows will receive more “updates” this week.

Talking about updates, Assassin’s Creed Shadows received a major update last month. It included a collaboration with Critical Role in the form of a new ally, and players were graced with a brand-new quest. Moreover, new settings and tools include the Nightmare difficulty, a toggle for headgear in cutscenes, VFX toggles, an open-world alarm, horse camera presets, ultra-low specifications for PC, and a plethora of bug fixes.

In other news, Assassin’s Creed Shadows has already collaborated with Dead by Daylight. Additionally, our exclusive report indicates that Ubisoft is targeting a September release for the Claws of Awaji DLC. What are your thoughts on Assassin’s Creed Shadows surpassing 5 million players?
