Battlefield 6 Trailer Already Has Thousands of People in the Waiting Room

Battlefield 6 is about to be fully revealed by Electronic Arts and all associated studios after years of development efforts. The name was officially revealed recently by the team, and fans are fast becoming as excited as you could be. The reveal trailer, which will premiere on YouTube this coming Thursday, already has thousands of fans waiting in the lobby.

Many have suggested that Battlefield 6 is a ‘make or break’ game for the franchise, and it’s easy to see why. It has been a tough few years for Battlefield fans, but the energy behind this all-new game is like nothing we’ve seen before.

Worth the Wait

Battlefield 6 has been leaked in dribs and drabs over the last few months as the Battlefield Labs project has unravelled. It has been claimed numerous times that EA is ‘allowing’ the leaks to happen as some kind of twisted marketing mechanic. Whatever the truth is, it has been well-received, and all that we’ve seen so far has fans excited.

Most recently, it was confirmed by teams that the upcoming open beta for Battlefield 6 will feature a split playlist that allows a variety of mechanics to be tested. For instance, there will be a playlist that locks certain weapons to specific classes, while another has a wide-open weapons catalogue that anyone can use.

Earlier today, the reveal trailer premiere went live with a countdown on YouTube. It’s set to be broadcast worldwide on July 24, uncovering the future of the franchise and hopefully revealing a game that steals the show from every other first-person shooter this year (although it might not be released this year).

If you jump over to YouTube, you’ll see that thousands of people are already waiting for the trailer, almost 48 hours before it’s due to go live:

As I write this, almost 4,000 people are eagerly waiting for the video to drop, engaging in the chat and sharing in their excitement with fans worldwide. The comments under the video reveal sentiments of hope and faith.

‘Please, DICE! Bring this legendary franchise back to the top,’ one user writes. Another can’t contain their energy: ‘AAAAAAAAAAA LADS THIS IS IT LADS.’ Some are analytical, such as this user: ‘Have you guys seen that every soldier on the thumbnail has a patch that represents each class? (Triangle, Hexagon, Cross, and Square). Nice detail!’

And then there are the fans begging folks not to pre-order and to temper their expectations because, after all, this is Electronic Arts, and Battlefield 2042 was a thing.
