Since Grounded is included with Xbox Game Pass, fans want to know if Grounded 2 follows suit.
July has been an excellent month for Game Pass. The first wave of new additions included the likes of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4, Legend of Mana, and Trials of Mana. Meanwhile, the second wave added Wuchang: Fallen Feathers, Robocop: Rogue City, and Abiotic Factor, among others.
However, the founder of Arkane Studios branded it ‘unsustainable’ and ‘damaging’ for the industry. The Game Business’ Chris Dring pushed back and claimed that Game Pass is ‘still profitable’. With that in mind, fans don’t have to worry about the service going anywhere.
Can You Play Grounded 2 on Xbox Game Pass?

Yes, Grounded 2 will be available with an Xbox Game Pass subscription immediately upon launch on July 24.
That being said, Grounded 2 is only available as a day-one title for Game Pass Ultimate members, which is priced at $19.99. Base Game Pass members won’t be able to play the game.
PC and Xbox Series X|S users can both take advantage of the subscription service and play Grounded 2 on day one.
How to Play Grounded 2 on Xbox Game Pass
As long as you have an Xbox Game Pass subscription, you can pre-download Grounded 2 ahead of its launch on July 29 to ensure you can start playing when it goes live.
Even if the full download isn’t available, Game Pass often makes a placeholder available that automatically downloads the full game when it becomes available. If you’re unsure of the exact process, follow these steps:
- Access your Xbox account, either on console or on PC.
- Verify that your Game Pass subscription is active.
- Open the Xbox Store.
- Search for Grounded 2 in the search function, or click the Games Coming Soon tab.
- Click on the game page.
- Press to download the title, with the option displayed where a purchase option is typically located.
Once those steps are completed, Grounded 2 will be ready to play immediately at launch through a Game Pass subscription.
