Mortal Kombat 2 Movie Teaser Released Ahead Of Full Trailer

Warner Bros is set to release the first full trailer for the upcoming movie Mortal Kombat 2 on Thursday. But, to hold fans over until then, the studio has released a short teaser trailer featuring everyone’s favorite action star, Johnny Cage.

The teaser, which you can watch below, gives a first look at Karl Urban as the legendary character.

Along with Urban as Cage, other new characters in the film include Kitana, Shao Kahn, Jade, and Queen Sindel. There will also be more film debuts that haven’t been announced yet.

Mortal Kombat 2 is scheduled to release in theaters on October 24, 2025. It’s a follow up to 2021’s Mortal Kombat, which released simultaneously in theaters and on HBO Max due to the COVID 19 pandemic.

The second movie in the rebooted franchise follows the Mortal Kombat tournament itself where Earth is at risk of losing its 10th-straight tournament. Should that happen, Shao Kahn will invade the planet and take over. There will also be more in the long-time battle between Scorpion and Sub-Zero.

The trailer for the new movie will release at 12pm ET/9am PT on July 17.
