Capcom is adding another Resident Evil game to its portfolio with Resident Evil Survival Unit for iPhone and Android. The title has Capcom, Joycity Corporation, and Aniplex behind it and supporting it, and a big reveal is coming soon.
Wasn’t everyone crying out for a real-time strategy Resident Evil game? No? Well, you’re getting one, and Resident Evil Survival Unit looks to blend the horrifying universe with elements the series is unfamiliar with. Don’t expect it to be a big-budget release like Resident Evil Requiem, as Survival Unit is only being developed for iPhone and Android.
Resident Evil Survival Unit is an RTS Game For iPhone & Android
All we have so far on Resident Evil Survival Unit is that it’s an RTS, something developer Joycity Corporation is renowned for. The company has previously created Pirates of the Caribbean: Tides of War.
That’s a top-down strategy game with emphasis on resource management and growing your empire. How Joycity will translate the formula to Resident Evil Survival Unit remains to be seen.
The big reveal is set for July 10, and we can expect to see its first trailer, at the very least, and maybe some gameplay and/or release information.
