Street Fighter movie has reportedly locked in new cast members, with David Dastmalchian joining as M Bison and WWE’s Cody Rhodes being eyed for the role of Guile.
The Street Fighter live-action adaptation is shaping up to be a massive film with all the A-list actors it seems to be bringing on. Recently, we saw the roles of Chun-Li and Barlog being filled by Callina Liang and 50 Cent. Now it seems that the Street Fighter movie may have brought on a WWE star and another prolific actor.
David Dastmalchian to Play M. Bison in Street Fighter Movie
According to a report by Deadline, sources have told them that the Suicide Squad actor has already landed the role of M. Bison in the upcoming movie. However, Legendary Entertainment has declined to comment. Players will remember David Dastmalchian playing the Polka-Dot Man from 2021’s The Suicide Squad. He also played the role of Thomas Schiff in The Dark Knight and Jack Delroy in Late Night with the Devil. The actor has corroborated the report on his Instagram.
WWE’s Cody Rhodes is in Talks to Play Guile in Street Fighter Movie
A report from Nexus Point News indicates that Cody Rhodes is in negotiations to portray Guile in an upcoming movie. Guile appears to be a perfect fit for the WWE star, who is known as “The American Nightmare.” As a pilot for the United States Air Force, Guile embodies a strong sense of patriotism. It will be interesting to see how Cody Rhodes handles the character’s distinctive haircut. Additionally, it’s worth noting that Legendary declined to comment on this casting decision.
The Street Fighter movie is shaping up to be a star-studded adaptation, with names like Andrew Schulz, Andrew Koji, Noah Centineo, Jason Momoa, Roman Reigns, Orville Peck, Callina Liang, David Dastmalchian and Cody Rhodes and more already in the mix, with more to be added soon.
