Elden Ring Nightreign’s New Character is an Earth Bender

Elden Ring Nightreign has just released a new character trailer for Raider, showcasing his earth-bending skills.

Yes, you read that right; Elden Ring Nightreign’s Raider is a full-fledged earth-bender, being able to summon huge masses of rocks to aid him in battle. We see Raider summon massive pillars during the video, which allows his archer teammate to get a height advantage and an area for the character to leap from to provide a decisive blow to the enemy. It seems that when these pillars are summoned, they also have an ‘AOE’ effect. The Raider also uses this ability to parry a dragon in the trailer.

If the Raider’s earth-bending skills weren’t enough, he is a full-fledged brawler too. The Raider’s weapon of choice is a massive axe, which seems a bit slow to use but looks like it deals a lot of damage. The Raider can also punch and kick enemies when he is not waving around that giant axe or drowning his sorrows in a bottle of wine.

The Raider is the third new character introduced by Elden Ring Nightreign in the past two weeks, and we have yet to receive official gameplay details. Recently, we also saw trailers drop for Duchess and Ironeye, and several more characters might be revealed before the game finally releases on May 30, 2025.

In other news, Elden Ring is coming to Nintendo Switch 2 in 2025. Also, the upcoming console has landed a FromSoftware exclusive, Duskbloods. What are your thoughts on Elden Ring Nightreign’s new earth-bending character? Let us know in the comments or on our community forum!
