Spotted by GamesRadar+, Shuhei Yoshida recently appeared on the Easy Allies podcast, talking about how he play-tested Ghost of Yotei and how it felt in the early stages of development. Yoshida stated that Sucker Punch has “always, from the very early stages of development”, had a playable experience. Whenever you try the game, “it’s kind of bug-free, somehow the game doesn’t crash”, even after “they have been changing the battle so many times, but still, it always works”.
Ghost of Yotei ‘Always Felt Great’, Says Yoshida
Yoshida added that Sucker Punch takes feedback from all sides, which is why he has been able to play several versions of Ghost of Tsushima and Ghost of Yotei. He also narrated a situation where he visited the studio even after he had left the first-party publishing side, and the game producer asked Yoshida to try Ghost of Yotei while in development and provide his feedback. Yoshida said, “It always felt great”, and is looking forward to its release.
Before talking about trying Ghost of Yotei, Yoshida stated that “out of all the teams” he has worked with in the past, Naughty Dog and Sucker Punch are the ones that “always make the game feel right”. He explained that you forget you’re holding a controller as it all feels “so natural and intuitive to play”.
