If you’re tired of waiting for Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, there might be something to take your mind off the wait. Konami has generously released the game’s opening movie for all to see.
Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater hits shelves in August. It looks like a faithful top-to-bottom remake of MGS3 and should do the legendary series justice. There’s no Hideo Kojima at the helm, which feels strange, but it won’t deter the millions of jungle-hungry MGS players. If you need a fix, you can snake your way through the game’s intro movie.
Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater Intro Movie Released

The Konami YouTube released a video on May 22 titled: “METAL GEAR SOLID Δ: SNAKE EATER | OPENING MOVIE Δ Version(clean ver.)”
It’s three minutes and four seconds, and features the iconic Snake Eater theme song—including “a new recording of the theme song performed by Cynthia Harrell!” It’s great to see Cynthia return to redo the song and have it sound almost identical.
The intro movie bears a striking resemblance to the structure of the OG intro movie. It’s different in parts, though, and you can check out the intro movie in full below.
It looks utterly breathtaking.
For fun, courtesy of YouTuber MajinSweet, you can see how it compares to the 2004 original Metal Gear Solid intro. Try and spot the differences!
Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is one of the big hitters in 2025. It could be the start of something fun for Konami. If it does well, which Metal Gear Solid game do you hope is remade next? Let us know through the Insider Gaming forum.
