The Xbox gaming division will be the latest area hit by layoffs at Microsoft. According to a new report, the layoffs will take place next week “as part of a company-wide reorganization.”
These layoffs come just days after it was revealed that the company was cutting a number of sales positions in order to use “third-party firms”

While it’s unclear how many people are set to lose their jobs, Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier reports that Xbox’s various managers are “expecting substantial cuts across the entire group.” As of publishing, there are no other details about the layoffs, including what specific divisions or studios will be impacted.
Microsoft declined to comment to Bloomberg for the story. Insider Gaming has also reached out for comment on the report.
According to Tom Warren of The Verge, some of the cuts are expected to come at the expense of employees “across central Europe”. These cuts could see Xbox operations stopping entirely in various regions.
