In a new blog post today, Xbox announced the first wave of titles coming to the Xbox Game Pass in May 2024, as well as Have a Nice Death, which is available today.
Unfortunately, the first wave only adds four more games in addition to Have a Nice Death. The upcoming titles through May 14th will include:
- Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition – May 2nd
- Kona II: Brume – May 7th
- Little Kitty, Big City – May 9th
- Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons – May 14th
Meanwhile, today’s blog post mentions that twice as many titles will leave on May 15th, including the likes of Eiyuden Chronicle Rising and Just Cause 4 Reloaded.
Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition is always a welcome addition, but like Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons, it’s a returning Game Pass selection.
Earlier this month, Xbox also announced that Shadow of the Tomb Raider Definitive Edition was coming to April’s Game Pass, too. So, there isn’t much fresh IP coming, and there are fewer titles than usual. The first wave of Game Pass titles in May 2024 ultimately presents a bit of a lull for subscribers.
Little Kitty, Big City is a day one launch, and Game Pass often shines by featuring more day one launches. But Little Kitty, Big City certainly seems to be geared for a narrow audience, either younger players or general animal lovers. At the very least, fans may appreciate seeing more indies join the library.
