For the first time since before the Covid-19 pandemic began, Xbox is returning to Los Angeles for a gaming showcase.
While recapping the Xbox Developer_Direct event from Wednesday, Xbox discussed what was next for the company. In addition to the upcoming Starfield show, the company confirmed plans for the summer.
“Our teams are working hard and look forward to sharing even more of what is next for our fans when we return to Los Angeles for our yearly Showcase this summer,” Xbox said.
For the first time since 2019, E3 is also making its in-person return as an event in Los Angeles. Last year’s event was canceled, and the expo hasn’t been held in person since Covid-19 took hold of the world.
Xbox hasn’t confirmed the date or specific location of its Los Angeles showcase. With E3 happening in June, though, one could expect that it will happen around the same time. E3 2023 goes from Tuesday, June 13 to Friday, June 16. More details surrounding the events, including what games will be present, will be announced as they approach.
On top of the Xbox showcase and E3 event, Summer Game Fest will also take place days before E3 gets underway. That show, hosted by Geoff Keighley, will take place on Thursday, June 8 at the YouTube Theater in Inglewood, California.
