A new report provides a slew of details about XBOX’s answer to PlayStations Platinum trophies: the ‘Mythic Achievement’.
A couple of days ago, a leak introduced a new category of achievements coming to Xbox called the “Mythic Achievement,” equivalent to the Platinum trophy. Players later discovered the Mythic Achievement symbol and its unlock sound through the Xbox PC app. A new report has now revealed a comprehensive set of details on how the Mythic Achievement will function.
XBOX Mythic Achievement Expected to Roll Out Soon
A new report by TrueAchievements provides a whole bunch of details on XBOX’s upcoming Mythic Achievement. Similar to the Platinum Trophy, players must unlock all achievements in a game to earn the Mythic Achievement. It’s worth noting that achievements from DLC and title updates do not affect the Mythic. Additionally, the Mythic Achievement does not contribute any Gamerscore. Once it is released, the Mythic Achievement will also be retroactively available for all games that have achievements.
Also, when the update is out, players will be able to display a total count of Mythics they have acquired so far. The achievements page will have a separate tracker for Mythic Achievements, and players can see the progress towards their Mythic across each game’s achievements page as well. Once you acquire a Mythic, the game art in the Gaming Tab will be decorated with a “green star, laurel, and a green border.”

The report also states that the header on the Gaming tab of an XBOX profile will be revamped when the Mythic update comes in. With the revamp, players will be able to see more stats, including their Gamerscore, total number of achievements, and total number of Mythics. Lastly, the report states that XBOX Mythic Achievements are expected to “launch soon” and could come to insiders first.
