XBOX seemingly plans to bring big changes to Game Pass, including an ‘à la carte’ plan that players can use.
This is not the first time players have heard about changes to XBOX Game Pass; since the arrival of the new CEO, players have already seen several changes to the service, including price changes, a cloud gaming tier, and more. The upcoming change could provide players with even more flexibility from the service.
XBOX Game Pass Will Add More Choice for Players
A new report by Fortune Magazine mentions the ‘à la carte’ system for XBOX Game Pass. The team seems to be planning a major revamp that will let players choose what they want, including add-ons for console-only games, cloud gaming, and multiplayer, while keeping the tier structure. Currently, only tiers are available, and players purchase a specific tier based on the services they want. Readers should note that Microsoft has not yet made an official announcement about this system.

This is not the first time we have heard about XBOX Game Pass becoming more flexible. Earlier this year, players were informed about a ‘pick your own plan‘ option that was being considered, which would allow players to customize their subscriptions by choosing which services they want. Players would have the option to remove features like Xbox Cloud Gaming or Fortnite Crew to lower the subscription price or add other services that better suit their needs.
