According to a reliable source, Xbox Game Pass might be looking to become more flexible, with a ‘pick your own plan’ option being considered.
Xbox Game Pass recently experienced some huge changes, one of which will be appreciated by players, while the other won’t. Firstly, the price has been dropped effective immediately, and secondly, Call of Duty titles will no longer release Day One on Game Pass. However, now we are discussing future plans for the service.
Xbox Game Pass is Looking to Become More Flexible
A recent report from WindowsCentral indicates that Microsoft sources have informed Jez Corden of a long-term plan to make Xbox Game Pass more flexible. One option being considered is a “pick your own plan” feature. This feature would allow players to customize their subscriptions by choosing which services they want. For example, players could opt to remove features like Xbox Cloud Gaming or Fortnite Crew to lower the subscription price or add other services that better suit their needs.
Talking about Game Pass, another report from earlier this month reveals that Xbox is testing different offerings for new tiers. There’s apparently a TRITON tier in the works, rumored to feature only first-party games. Another one is called Duet, which is supposedly a bundle with a Netflix membership. What’s more, dataminers have also found that these tiers could feature monthly time allowances for Xbox Cloud Gaming.
In other news, check out the games that were added to Xbox Game Pass April 2026 Wave 2, and also all the games that will be leaving the service this month.
