An Early Access release date has been revealed for Windrose, as you’ll be free to conquer the seven seas from April 14, 2026.
The official news comes from the Triple-I Initiative 2026, with the gaming showcase’s third iteration featuring 40 games, with eight exclusive world premieres.

Windrose Launches In Early Access On April 14, 2026
If you’re looking for a pirate adventure and you don’t want to wait for the Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag Remake, then you’re in the right place, as Windrose seems to offer everything you’d want to see from a swashbuckling title.
From a vast open world with tons of hand-crafted POIs to explore, to deep and engaging combat (on both land and sea), it’s all possible in Windrose. Add to that some survival and base-building mechanics, and you should be set to live out your pirate dreams.
For fans of the upcoming title, these details are nothing new. Windrose hosted an open beta back in February this year, and after some positive reviews, it’s since accrued over 1.5 million wishlists on Steam!
Of course, some of you might prefer to hold out until the full release, but there’s a chance you might be waiting for a while. It’s unclear how long the developers plan to keep Windrose in Early Access, but one thing’s for sure: they won’t announce the official release date until they’re ‘confident enough‘.
With that in mind, if Windrose sounds of interest to you and you want to dive into Early Access, you won’t have to wait long, as it launches on April 14, 2026.
