Elden Ring Nightreign supports three-player co-op, but can you play with friends on other platforms?
FromSoftware took a different approach for its latest title. Instead of the traditional soul-like games that primarily focus on single-player with some co-op elements, Elden Ring Nightrein emphasizes co-op and is a roguelike set in a procedurally generated version of the Elden Ring world.
Each run supports up to three players, and the enemies, loot, and obtainable weapons change every time. The ultimate goal of each run is to defeat the boss you selected before the run and survive all of the enemies leading up to the final fight. Since co-op is such a massive part of the game, you would expect cross-play support. However, is that the case with Elden Ring Nightreign?
Is Elden Ring Nightreign Crossplay?

Elden Ring Nightreign has crossplay compatibility between PS5 and PS4 and also between Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One, but it does not support crossplay between PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.
Without crossplay support between other platforms, it will be difficult for players to team up with their friends. If you were thinking about buying a new system to play with your friend, now is not a great time to do so.
Microsoft increased prices for all Xbox Series consoles, including the Xbox Series X, which was previously $499.99 and now costs $599.99. In addition, in its latest quarterly earnings, Sony said that it’s considering raising PlayStation 5 prices due to the current tariff situation with America.
That leaves PC as a potential option for you and your friends to get the game on. If that’s the route you decide to go down, check out our guide on the minimum and recommended PC specs for Elden Ring Nightrein.
Does Elden Ring Nightreign have split-screen?
Elden Ring Nightreign does not feature split-screen on the same console.
Even if you have two controllers, you won’t be able to have a friend join you unless they also own a copy of the game and their own console.
It’s unclear if FromSoftware plans to add split-screen or more crossplay support in a future update. For now, the only options are to get the same console your friends own or take advantage of the previous-gen cross-platform support.
