What’s New in No Man’s Sky Adrift? – Answered

The complete No Man’s Sky patch notes for the thirteen expedition, known as Adrift, provide insight into how expansive the space exploration game has become over the years. This expedition offers a lot more variety, especially for solo players. Here is what’s new in No Man’s Sky Adrift!

Everything New in No Man’s Sky Adrift

The new major update to No Man’s Sky allows us to experience an alternate universe, with players entirely alone in the galaxy for the first time. It’s a gameplay event that’s completely optional, though. By taking part in Adrift, the game removes all alien lifeforms, which means you can’t purchase items from shops or trade. There’s no help. It’s just you.

Any structures you discover will be noticeably dilapidated, left behind by lost Travellers. Up in space, you can explore the ghostly frigate.

Furthermore, what’s left behind proves more challenging and hazardous than before. You’ll encounter sandworms that roam planets, fiend eggs that spread wildly across habitats, and other flora and fauna out to eat you.

But there’s one haven left behind: Iron Vulture. It’s a Hauler starship that uses the game’s most recent ship customization mechanics.

Should you choose to participate in Adrift, you’ll unlock unique rewards, including collectibles, like the Gnawing Scuttler Companion, Starship Stealth Paint, a Ghostly Frigate, and the Iron Vulture Starship.

How to Start Adrift in No Man’s Sky

To participate in the Adrift Expedition in No Man’s Sky, visit the Expedition Terminus on the Space Anomaly. Alternatively, you can start a new save game, allowing you to jump into the expedition immediately. Once the event concludes, your save will automatically convert to Normal Mode.

That said, all rewards you unlock by playing Adrift will carry over to your other save games, thanks to Space Anomaly’s Quicksilver Synthesis Companion.

You have seven weeks to unlock all of the unique rewards in Adrift!
