Toys for Bob Secures Publishing Partnership with Xbox

Following the move to go independent following Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision Blizzard, Toys for Bob has announced that it has reached an agreement with Xbox to publish its next game.

Taking to Twitter, Toys for Bob announced, “We’re excited to announce that we’ll be partnering with @Xbox to publish our next new game. We’re still very early in development, so you might not hear from us for a bit – but know that we’re working hard on an experience we’re so sooo inspired about! Can’t wait to share more.”

The tweet was followed by a purple heart emoji, which could be a subtle nod to Spyro the Dragon, rumored to be the next game the developers are working on.

In March 2024, it was rumored that Toys for Bob reached an agreement that will see the newly independent studio make its first game for Xbox. Matt Booty made the announcement, however, he did not share what the studio’s next game will be.

As Toys for Bob announces, its next game is still early in development, so it’s likely far from being revealed or released.

What do you think Toys for Bob will be developing for Xbox? Let us know in the comments below.
