During the recent PlayStation State of Play showcase, Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis secured a stunning new trailer and a firm release date, confirming earlier suspicions that the game had been delayed to 2027. The trailer, which revealed the end-to-end story that started it all in Lara Croft’s legendary world, was capped with a release date reveal.
Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis is coming on February 12, 2027. It’ll arrive with three editions and a 48-hour early access pre-order bonus, along with the ‘Survivor Outfit’, which allows players to cosplay as the Lara Croft model from the 2013 reboot.

Legacy of Atlantis Tells the Story That Started It All
Unfortunately, the delayed release date of Legacy of Atlantis pushes the game out of the 30th anniversary of the icon that is Lara Croft. It was supposed to align, but alas, it’s not to be.
Crystal Dynamics explained recently that the game has been pieced together alongside Flying Wild Hog and is a ‘true reimagining’ of the original game that dropped in the 1990s to kickstart everything. It has been built in UE5 and brings to life everything the first game gave to players decades ago, revitalized for a new generation.
The new voice of Lara Croft is Alix Wilton Regan, who takes over the role from Camilla Luddington, the actor behind the character since 2013’s reboot.
