The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Remastered next-gen update is much more than just a simple modernization. The patch will add new features, fix old issues, and make this seem like a game that’s just come out in 2026.
Ask many people who’ve played The Witcher 3, and they’ll tell you it’s a 10/10 game. I include myself in this, as I do think it’s an all-time RPG great. On the other hand, it’s not perfect. The combat is good, but had some flaws, Roach had a tendency to be drawn to anything but the road ahead, and the menus/upgrades were a bit meh.
The ‘Remastered’ update fixes all of this and more.
Every New Feature in The Witcher 3 Remastered
Thank to the information out there, we know The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Remastered includes upgraded visuals, combat, horse physics, animations, quests, and there’s a huge list of other changes.
If you break down every change to the nth degree, there’s probably in the region of 50-100 improvements-plus in the Remastered update, with some being significant.

There has been some conversation about whether the changes are for the better, with new combat and graphics looking slightly more washed out compared to the original.

But if you look closely at the short clip above, the flame effects, and the reflection in the water are small snippets of why the Remastered version will be the best way to enjoy The Witcher 3.
