Ubisoft is preparing to open the doors to The Division 2: Survivors, the all-new high-stakes extraction experience at the heart of the post-apocalyptic third-person shooter that has been evolving immeasurably in recent months.
It’s a highly anticipated update, bringing a winter-themed survival experience to the game’s Washington, D.C. map. It’s set to introduce all-new threats in the form of inclement weather and both AI-driven and human enemies, and you can test it. Below, you’ll find out how to access The Division 2: Survivors’ beta test.
What is The Division 2: Survivors?
If you played The Division, which was released way back in 2016, you might be familiar with the game’s Survival mode. This took players and threw them into a harsher environment, battling against the effects of a brutal winter in New York City.
The Division 2: Survivors is the evolution of that.
It’s an all-new survival extraction experience set in the game’s unique Washington, D.C. map, and it’s set to offer both a PvPvE and PvE experience, catering to all kinds of players. It’s admittedly a work-in-progress product, and that’s why Ubisoft wants to test it out.
How to Access The Division 2: Survivors Test
To sign up for The Division 2: Survivors test, you’ll need to complete a brief registration form:
There are also some requirements you’ll need to meet to be eligible for the test:
- You need to play on PC
- You need to agree to play a work-in-progress build with rough edges
- You’ll need to be comfortable communicating in English
- You’ll need to be willing to actively share feedback to improve Survivors
It’s important to also stress that you don’t need to own The Division 2 to access the test, which will be carried out on a free-to-play, standalone version of the game.

Ubisoft also clarified that signing up does not guarantee participation, but it’s the first step towards getting access. However, the upcoming first test won’t be the only test. There may be later rounds that you can access as Ubisoft looks to diversify the player base.
