On October 29, you and I can finally dive back into Obsidian’s wacky RPG franchise. The Outer Worlds 2 drops at the end of October this year, and it looks as zany and as over the top as ever.
The Xbox Games Showcase 2025 is Microsoft’s biggest presentation of the year. It includes Xbox Game Pass day one announcements, looks at new trailers and gameplay, and the odd surprise or two. The Outer Worlds 2 isn’t a surprise, but telling us a release date was a nice touch.
October 29 is The Outer Worlds 2 Launch Date
Yes, you can buy The Outer Worlds 2 from October 29, and it’s available on the main platforms: PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. There’s no word on a Switch 2 release just yet, so stay tuned, citizens.
There is a full showcase dedicated to The Outer Worlds 2. However, Xbox got the ball rolling on its Summer Game Fest showing by whipping out The Outer Worlds 2 release date straight off the bat with a new trailer.
