That Rings A Bell (Ring The Bell!) Walkthrough & Solutions in Escape Academy 2: Back 2 School

Headmaster Solange wants you to climb a clock tower and ring the bell at the top. That Rings A Bell features an assortment of lunar puzzles, and if you’re spacing out in confusion in Escape Academy 2, this guide has a full walkthrough and solutions for every puzzle.

Like the flooding escape room from the first game, the key to That Rings A Bell is all about ascension. Going up the floors until you reach the top, and your deduction skills are tested in Escape Academy 2.

That Rings A Bell Walkthrough & Answers in Escape Academy 2

The devs put 25 minutes on the clock, and you can easily burn through this time with a couple of the puzzles here. There’s a decent bit of running around required, and the final couple of puzzles, in particular, can put you in jeopardy.

Here’s my full walkthrough for you.

Get The Rope

  1. A long yellow rope is wrapped up and locked behind a multicolored padlock.
  2. The five-number code is tied to the hanging, colored stars on the floor’s ceiling.
  3. You must work out how many points are on each star:
    1. Blue: 4
    2. Purple: 7
    3. Red: 6
    4. Yellow: 5
    5. Green: 8
  4. Go up to the padlock and enter 4, 7, 6, 5, 8 to unlock rope access.

Rope Shape & Animal

  1. The switch allowing access to the next floor needs a five-letter code.
  2. To the right of it are sequential symbols from top to bottom.
  3. You need to connect the yellow rope to each of these exact symbols in order.
  4. Be careful, some of them have near-identical copies.
  5. Once you’ve connected them all, look into the telescope at the back of the room.
  6. Cross-reference the rope pattern with the eight animal tiles around the room.
  7. You should see the rope pattern matches the one on the camel.
  8. Enter CAMEL into the lock.
  9. Climb the ladder.

Gears Puzzle

  1. Three gears are hidden on this floor.
  2. You can find the Small Gear underneath the New Moon symbol.
  3. The Large Gear is located to the right of the locked chest featuring five clock faces.
  4. A Medium Gear is sneakily hidden behind the elevator.
  5. Place all three gears into the gear setup on the wall near the elevator.
  6. Inspect the wall.
  7. Rotate the gears until the arrow lines match up.
  8. Opposite the gear wall, behind another wall, is a big gear with a directional lock.
  9. Press on the lock, and input the following directions:
    1. Right.
    2. Down.
    3. Up.
    4. Left.
    5. Right.
    6. Down.

Locked Chest With Clocks

  1. Behind the chest are arrows pointing up.
  2. Climb up the boxes and platforms.
  3. Take the Cipher Table from the statue’s hand.
  4. Go back to the chest’s lock.
  5. Using the sheet to work out what each letter is:
    1. Clock 1: 9:30 = L
    2. Clock 2: 12:45 = U
    3. Clock 3: 6:45 = N
    4. Clock 4: 3:00 = A
    5. Clock 5: 9:15 = R
  6. Enter LUNAR into the chest’s lock and grab the Moonlight.

Phases of the Moon

  1. You’ll have noticed on this floor purple drawings of the moon at different stages during its cycle.
  2. Go to the elevator.
  3. Next to it is a locked lever; it says: From New to Full.
  4. Find all seven moon icons on the floor in order from New Moon to Full Moon.
  5. Here’s what each letter of every sequential symbol gives:
    1. New Moon: E
    2. Waning Crescent: C
    3. (Slightly fuller) Waning Crescent: L
    4. Half Moon: I
    5. Waning Gibbous: P
    6. (Slightly fuller) Waning Gibbous: S
    7. Full Moon: E
  6. Enter ECLIPSE into the elevator’s lock.

Asteroid Puzzle

  1. Climb the ladder you unlocked after completing the gear puzzle.
  2. There’s a telescope showing you five objects overlapping each other.
  3. In the room is also a sort of diorama, with five asteroids you can switch around.
  4. The asteroids need to be in the order they are from bottom to top in the telescope.
  5. Start with the Square at the bottom, and go from there.
  6. Here’s the final pattern from left to right on the movable machine:
    1. Square
    2. Hexagon
    3. Circle
    4. Triangle
    5. Pentagon
  7. Take the Shears.

Cut The Rope & Seasons

  1. Ride the elevator to the top.
  2. Cut the rope with the Shears.
  3. Take the elevator back down.
  4. Climb the clock ladder.
  5. There’s a four-sided box with each side representing a different time of day.
  6. You need to use the four big clocks around the room to determine which time of day the image is, and which season.
  7. Then, each clock has the sun on a different layer, and that’s where it needs to be on the picture.
  8. Here’s how it should look:
    1. SUNSET: Sun on the second innermost circle, at the start of the day.
    2. AFTERNOON: Sun on the second outermost circle, at the second part of the day.
    3. NOON: Sun on the innermost circle, in the middle of the day.
    4. SUNRISE: Sun on the second innermost circle, at the end of the day.
  9. Pick up the Lens.

Dial Song Puzzle

  1. Put the Lens on the clock face featuring Roman numerals.
  2. Look where it says Ring the Bells 9795639.
  3. You simply need to move the clock hand clockwise and counterclockwise until it’s over the numbers in order.
  4. Each one gives a letter, and these will be used to play a song using the bells.
  5. This is the order, and the letters they give:
    1. 9 = A
    2. 7= C
    3. 9= A
    4. 5= E
    5. 6= D
    6. 3= G
    7. 9= A
  6. It should play a delightful little melody, dropping the bell.
  7. Ring it to complete the escape room!
