T-Pain opens up about his favorite Nintendo games and reveals why Mario Kart ranks at the top for him.
T-Pain is one of the biggest rappers of the 2000s, and as it turns out, he’s also a big fan of Nintendo. Recently, he’s been helping to promote the release of Rhythm Heaven Groove on Nintendo Switch, and during a recent interview with IGN, Pain noted that the Mario Kart series is his favorite, especially Mario Kart 64.
He even included it in his VIP package for tour attendees: for an extra fee, they could play Mario Kart with him.
“It’s gotta be Mario Kart. Any of them, the mechanics of them, especially 64… I think the Mario Kart series is the one that sticks with me the most because you can be competitive without it getting crazy. It’s not like a card game or something. So, yeah, Mario Kart is the one that stands the test of time with me.“

Check Out T-Pain Playing an Hour’s Worth of Rhythm Heaven Groove
Also part of the promotion he’s been doing for Rhythm Heaven Groove, T-Pain played the game for an hour over on the Smosh Games YouTube channel. In all of the mini-games, he started out very strongly with his sense of Rhythm on full display. Eventually, however, the others in the cast would catch up and were able to compete with the Grammy Award winner.
