Mario Kart Tour will not be around for much longer, as a service end date for the title has been announced, giving players just a few months more to enjoy the game.
Released in 2019, Mario Kart Tour is a multiplayer title available on iOS and Android, bringing the fun of Mario Kart to handheld devices with biweekly, downloadable themed tours with different cups.
The regular slew of new content has been enjoyed by millions of players worldwide, but it’s been announced that there are only a few months left.
Mario Kart Tour Ends in September
Posting on X, the announcement stated that Mario Kart Tour “will be ending service on Wednesday, September 30, 2026,” Japan time, which works out to be 11 PM on Tuesday, September 29, in PT.
The statement adds the team “sincerely thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your continued patronage since the service launch.”
Additionally, the sale of Rubies in-game has been terminated, but owned Rubies can still be used in the Pickup Shop, Mii Suit Shop, and Coin Rush. Any remaining balances can be refunded after the service of the game ends.
Meanwhile, new subscriptions and automatic renewals of the Gold Pass have been terminated, and those who already hold a subscription can continue using the benefits until the service ends.
Those without a Gold Pass subscription will be able to access Gold Pass benefits, excluding renewal bonuses, for free at the start of the ‘Vacation Tour’ on August 5, and will continue to do so through the game’s end of service.
