Fans Spot Secret Character in Super Mario Bros. Wonder Trailer

The latest Super Mario Bros. Wonder trailer may have spoiled a secret character by accident, and it’s a fan favorite.

Released in 2023, Super Mario Bros. Wonder brought the addicting side-scrolling of the originals back to the forefront. With a fun color palette and challenging platforming, the game received tons of praise at launch. Recently, at last week’s Nintendo Direct, a Nintendo Switch 2 version of Wonder was revealed with new content. However, we may have gotten a sneak peek at some more thanks to an eagle-eyed fan.

Rosalina Spotted in Latest Super Mario Bros. Wonder Trailer

A Twitter user by the name of @DynamoSuperX spotted a secret character in the new Super Mario Bros. Wonder trailer: Rosalina. In their tweet, they screenshotted an icon present in the trailer which features Yoshi and, seemingly, Rosalina. Going to 2:00 of the trailer does, indeed, show that icon and the two characters side-by-side on the bottom left-hand corner. Whether Rosalina will be playable or just a side character remains to be seen.

Debutting in Super Mario Galaxy, Rosalina has become a fan-favorite character in the series. She appeared in many Mario spinoffs like Mario Kart and Mario Party. Furthermore, she even joined the Super Smash Bros. roster for Wii U, 3DS, and in Ultimate. Her being in Wonder is sure to make some fans happy, especially since she may show up in The Super Mario Galaxy Movie.
