6 of The Best Starter Planets to Visit in Starfield For Outposts

Getting started right in Starfield with an effective outpost on a planet is crucial – But what are some of the best planets to visit in Starfield to set up your outpost? In this guide, we’ll be breaking down the best 6 planets to visit.

6. Maheo II – Maheo System

Maheo II has one of the widest varieties of biomes to explore and offers beginning travelers eight different resources.

  • Tetrafluorides
  • Ytterbium
  • Lead
  • Copper
  • Water
  • Helium-3
  • Iron
  • Alkanes

Maheo II is a beautiful planet and whilst it can be difficult to find the best location to set up your outpost on the planet, it does offer the vital resources you need. Lead, Copper, Iron, and Water are essential resources and Ytterbium is often described as one of the rarest resources in the game – So it’s definitely a planet worth considering.

5. Voss (Moon of Olivus) – Alpha Centauri System

Voss is another location in Starfield that is prime real estate for your first outpost thanks to the moon having another eight different resources you can gather.

  • Water
  • Vanadium
  • Nickel
  • Tungsten
  • Lead
  • Cobalt
  • Dysprosium
  • Uranium

Tungsten is an Uncommon Tier 1 Resource in Starfield and is one of the most sought-after resources in the game as it’s a major building block for crafting a wide range of items including weapon mods.

4. Zamka (Moon of Olivus) – Alpha Centauri System

Another moon of Olivus is Zamka which although is very similar to Voss, it has a few different resources that you might prefer.

  • Water
  • Helium-3
  • Iron
  • Nickel
  • Copper
  • Cobalt
  • Uranium
  • Vanadium

Vanadium is a very rare element and can be used in crafting various things in the game; from Weapons, Armor, and Consumables to Research, Mods, and Structures.

3. Andraphon – Narion System

Whilst Andraphon is fairly limited in the amount of resources a player might want compared to the other planets on this list, Andraphon is an ideal planet for first-time explorers. This is because all five of the elements of the planet can be found in the same location, meaning that players can be very efficient in farming.

  • Iron
  • Aluminum
  • Helium-3
  • Beryllium
  • Europium

2. Kreet – Narion System

Kreet is another planet with eight different elements and can be found pretty early on in the game, making it an ideal location for beginners.

  • Iron
  • Water
  • Lead
  • Argon
  • Hydromelonic acid
  • Helium-3
  • Silver
  • Neon

1. Io or Callisto (Moons of Jupiter)

Whilst there are two different locations in our number one spot, we thought it best to put both of them together as they are both very similar. Both moons are rich in helium-3 and iron deposits, making them perfect for a first outpost – So it’s entirely up to you where you want to land.

Both are pretty barren and not resource-heavy, but the two fundamental resources are there in plentiful qualities.
