A world-first look at gameplay was shown for Star Wars Zero Company during Summer Game Fest, with a release date confirmed for August 27, 2026.
Star Wars Zero Company was confirmed to appear at the Summer showcase prior to the event, and the trailer was as impressive as expected.
Gameplay Details For Star Wars Zero Company
In case you were unfamiliar, Star Wars Zero Company is a new single-player turn-based tactics game developed by Bit Reactor, who have built a team that’s worked on franchises like XCOM and Civilisation; to say they’re masters of the genre would be an understatement.
Set in the twilight of the Clone Wars, you’ll assume the role of Hawks, a fully voiced and customizable protagonist in charge of the intelligence unit. Alongside them, you’ll build a ragtag team ready to fight the separatist forces, including the likes of battle droids, droidekas, and a whole host of Star Wars aliens.
The new trailer showcased the XCOM-centric gameplay, and if you’re a fan of the franchise, you’ll feel right at home with Star Wars Zero Company. With a deeper narrative, risk of permadeath, and a large-scale war to fight, the game looks like a treat for Star Wars fans looking for a gritty Clone Wars adventure. Oh, and Anakin was showcased—what more do you need?!
