The actor behind the Star Wars Jedi character Cal Kestis has confirmed that Star Wars Jedi 3 is in development. Cameron Monaghan spilled the beans during the Ocala Comic Con panel, where he said, “We’re working on a third and we’re in the process of doing that right now.”

He continued, “That’s been a big undertaking and there have been some conversations so far, but hopefully when all things and said and done we’ll be able to go in and make something really cool.”

Footage of the Comic-Con panel was uploaded by YouTube user Saix_XIII last week, but the video footage has only recently started going viral. You can see the video segment where Monaghan talks about Star Wars Jedi 3 below:

The surprising announcement came just one week after Star Wars Jedi director, Stig Asmussen, departed Respawn Entertainment.

In a statement from EA on Asmussen’s departure, they said, “After careful thought and consideration, Stig Asmussen has decided to leave Respawn to pursue other adventures, and we wish him the best of luck. Veteran Respawn leaders will be stepping up to guide the team as they continue their work on Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.”

In addition to Monaghan’s comments on Star Wars Jedi 3, a job listing earlier this year also asserted that Respawn Entertainment has started its development on a third Star Wars Jedi title.
