1047 Games came in with a bang at Summer Game Fest, shadow dropping a battle royale mode for Split Gate 2 at the event.
Split Gate 2 Battle Royale Features
The Split Gate 2 battle royale is here, and players can check out this new mode along with Arena Modes like Hotzone and Firecracker and On-Slaught modes like Domination and The Lab. Splitgate 2 Battle Royale will feature 15 teams of 4 dropping in and battling it out until the last one remains. At the beginning of the match, players can decide where to drop from the airship flying about Split Worlds.
The starting weapon in Split Gate 2 battle royale is a pistol. However, you gain much more powerful loot through Chests, Air Drops, and Player Pods that arise from downed enemies. Players must also collect credits and purchase Power Weapons, Upgrades, and more at Buy Stations. There are Portal Gun upgrades to use the full potential of your portal gun. Also, like most battle royale titles, a ring closes in on the players, closing off worlds and dealing damage to players that fall out of the ring.
Players can be revived by teammates and respawn until their squad is alive. The game also hosts different events that change gameplay, like the Portal EMP event, which disables portals, or the Drop Frenzy Event, which increases Air Drop frequency.
Lastly, Splitgate 2 battle royale features five biomes: Drought (desert biome), Fracture (floating asteroids biome), Glacier (snow biome), Inferno (volcano biome), and Santum (the central ruins). These are all connected through huge World Portals.
