Stylish Gun-Fu Shooter ‘SPINE’ Coming to PC and Console in Summer 2027

SPINE, a sexy and stylish gun-fu shooter with some seriously high-octane energy, has finally been given a release window. The title, which has been in development for some time at Nekki, will be hitting PC and consoles in Summer 2027. This news was revealed today along with a new trailer for the game.

I was fortunate enough to get a rare hands-on demo with SPINE at Summer Game Fest in 2025, and I came away thoroughly impressed with what’s on offer. It’s a fresh take on the single-player action genre, fusing multiple perspectives and slick gunplay with a cyberpunk vibe and a powerful narrative.

SPINE is Coming Next Year

SPINE, from ‘Nekki’, the developer behind other titles like Vector and Shadow Fight, is slated to launch next year. On August 26, the team revealed an all-new gameplay trailer for the title, showcasing some of the drop-dead gorgeous gunplay and unrivaled atmospheric elements surfacing in this game next year.

Here’s the trailer:

The remarkable trailer gives us our first look at the supreme leader of Tensor City, the in-game world that’s thick with crime, punishment, and cyberpunk technology and vibes.

SPINE uses Nekki’s proprietary Cascadeur engine, an animation ecosystem that ‘makes players the star of their own action movie where no two fights are the same.’ It’s an innovative title that has already turned heads on account of its stunning protagonist, the fiery and capable Redline, equipped with a sentient combat implant that boosts her abilities immeasurably.
